Abstract
The angiofibroma is an unusual destructive but essentially benign neoplasm. Mostly seen in the nasopharynx of adolescent males. Its occurrence within the nasal cavity as a primary tumor is extremely rare.
The aim of this study is to describe the clinicopathological features and discuss the origin of this tumor as finding out the analysis of Argyrophilic nucleolar organizer regions(AgNORs) of the fibroblasts and endothelial cells of this rare
tumor.
The
result of the analysis of AgNORs of the two components indicated that the fundamental elements were both of fibroblast cells and the vascular endothelial cells.
